EVENT INFORMATION
STARTING TIME
6:00 a.m. official race begins with staggered starts (based on transportation time).
CHECK-IN
Friday evening 6:00-9:00 pm and Saturday morning 4:30 - 5:30 am. Check-in and packet pick-up at St. Anthonys Parrish Hall across from the Mackinaw City Recreation Complex located at 600 W. Central Avenue, Mackinaw City. Transportation from race headquarters to starting area 5:00 - 6:00 a.m..
LOCATION
The race will begin at Bridgeview Park at the north end of the bridge and will end at race headquarters in Mackinaw City. Transportation from Mackinaw City to the starting line is provided. (Please note, our start times are based on assigned transportation times, so if you are providing your own transportation to start line, it must be around the same time of your assigned transportation time)
COURSE
The first half of the race is a steady incline with a slope of 5 degrees. The total length of course is 5.4 miles.
FACILITIES
There will be restrooms at the starting line of the event and at the finish line, but none are provided during the course. A water stop will be provided on the exit of the bridge. You may also carry your own water in a self-contained, litter-proof container.
REFRESHMENTS
Breakfast and refreshments will be available at race headquarters starting at 6:30 a.m. until 8:30 a.m.

ENTRY FEE
$40.00 per participant if postmarked my May 1st 2009, after May 1st $45.00 and $50.00 for on-site registration. Entry includes: race across the Mackinac Bridge, official race bib, race chip technology, official race t-shirt, commemorative gift for all finishers, transportation to starting area, awards for event and division winners and breakfast. Additional breakfast tickets are available for $5.00 each.
CANCELLATIONS
No refunds will be given.
AWARDS
All entrants will receive commemorative gift and t-shirt for this event. Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each category and gender. Award ceremony will follow breakfast at approximately 8:45 a.m.
AGE DIVISIONS
Men and women: 14-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64 and 65 & over. All runners must be able to run a minimum of a 12 minute per mile pace to race in this event. No walkers and no baby joggers are allowed.
RESULTS
Results will be scored with the ChampionChip. You must wear a chip on your shoe to be scored. Results will be posted on race day, or the next day on www.mackinawcity.com .
REGISTRATION
Event registration closes at 9:00 p.m. on May 22nd or sooner if 1400 entries are received. You may either send this registration form in with check or money order, or you may register online at www.mackinawcity.com. On site registration will be offered on Friday, May 22nd from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Recreation Complex. There will be NO ONSITE REGISTRATION OFFERED ON THE DAY OF THE RACE (MAY 23rd) .
